Both institutions are working in the field of educational and social inclusion.<\/p>\n<p>The event was chaired by <strong>Dr. Armand S\u00e1nchez Bonastre<\/strong> (Vice-rector of Research and Transference, UAB), <strong>Dr. Joaqu\u00edn Gair\u00edn Sall\u00e0n<\/strong> (Dean of the Faculty of Education, UAB), <strong>Dr. Josep Maria Sanahuja Gavald\u00e0<\/strong> (Director of CERSIN, UAB) and <strong>Dr. Margaret Nygren <\/strong>(Executive Director &amp; CEO of AAIDD, USA).<\/p>\n<p>The objectives of the Conference were, on one hand, to exchange knowledges and experiences between research professionals who are international working on educational and social inclusion and, on the other hand, to serve as a bridge to create synergies for setting strong ties of collaboration between CERSIN and AAIDD in international inclusive research projects.<\/p>\n<p>The treated topics at the Conference were the following ones:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Service for inclusion in the UAB. Support for students with Specific Educational Needs<\/li>\n<li>Can reasonable accommodation safeguard the employment of people with disabilities?<\/li>\n<li>Intellectual disabilities and social inclusion. Transition to adulthood and Independent living<\/li>\n<li>Inclusive Research: sharing spaces and processes. Susana Rojas Pernia<\/strong> Education Department of University of Cant\u00e0bria (UNICAN), <strong>Ms. Teresa Gonz\u00e1lez Verdaguer<\/strong> Head of Department of Education of the Museu Nacional d\u2019Art de Catalunya (MNAC), and finally <strong>Dra.
